The Griffin Cosmos

We talked about his collection, about tour fatigue and we even discussed how his initial work necessitated Polaroid backs which ended up signed by their artistic subjects and most likely in the collection of any number of lucky assistants. There are still those out there who have yet to see Netflix’s Oscar award-winning ‘Roma’. There are also apparently those who definitely know better that are trying to claim it’s not a film? I wish that I couldn’t figure out why but I guess that lemons aren’t mutually exclusive to dat shrove treat, in the same way that films are not exclusive to movie theatres.

Big Man U.S.A.

Season 2 of Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg’s Big Mouth on Nythflex is just as funny as the first. It also goes way out into the field across every line you could draw for it and just keeps running, special parts flapping in the wind. The established wisdom is that it’s funny because it’s about puberty and puberty is funny.

Horsey, horsy, horsie

The new season - the fifth of its name, in case I might have your attention - of Bojack Horseman has been up on the Northflux for just long enough, should you love to both laugh and cry simultaneously. I maintain that everything about this show is gold for the reflective manic depressive and that is exactly what I require.

Having finally cleared most of my current mountain, I decided it was finally time to head back to Earthsea. Like many, I grew up with these books - devouring them in great, dragon-shaped swathes - long before I went to Hogwarts.

Carbon Voodoo

It’s decent sci-fi and I was happy to escape there for a bit. If anything, it’s proof that my Neuromantic pill of choice is and may always have been the new black.
