Golden Mago

If you fancy heading down that psychedelic rock/funk/noise hole then you should almost definitely start with ‘Tago Mago’ and try your level best to conduct your journey under the right conditions. This is a first UK press and it’s about as close to perfect as you would want it to be. The introduction to ‘Paperhouse’ is probably one of the most recognisable album openers of the genre from that period and you know you’re in for a ride.

E3 happened last week and the dust is still settling. We saw a load of reveals, gameplay and orchestral performances which is nice and even more things got release dates, some of them with more power to levitate your eyebrows offa your facade than others. There were also appearances from certain people to cause a heart to chorus.

The Bataclan shootings in November of 2015 caused an infinite degree of pain around the world, not least for those in attendance that evening, their families and friends. Antoine’s assertion, that those responsible for the murder of Hélène, his wife, would not have his hate or the hatred of their infant son, is an unfathomably dense, totemic thing. It is poetic in the most terrible and perfect of ways.
